Registration is new this year. If you plan to attend, please fill in box at the bottom of the page and click the submit button. Be sure to include which class you are attending (Basic or Advanced). You will pay for registration and additional books needed at the training event site. DO NOT SENT CHECK OR MONEY ORDER WITH REGISTRATION.
The MonValley District Director on Lay Speaking is proud to announce the next Lay Speaker Training Event Class to be held on April 19, 2008 at Gateway UMC, 301 Diamond St, Fairmont WV 26554 - Office Phone No. 363-7847. Note: We are required to hold classes for 10 hours. Therefore, The hours of class will be from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Send your registration no later than April 11, 2008.
The course fee is $9.00 for Basic and $9.00 for advanced and includes costs of materials (excluding books required) and lunch. All you need to bring is an open mind, an open heart, and any book required or recommended for your chosen class. Basic course: Basic in sermon preparation and delivery
For those just entering the Lay Speaking ministry, this course is required. It focuses on the primary aspects of leading, communicating, sermon preparation and resource information.
